Hello...Birth control is covered under Federal Employee Health Benefits

Federal employees, including members of Congress, are eligible for health care coverage as a benefit of employment. The majority of coverage is provided by Blue Cross/Blue Shield. A majority of fed employees choose BC/BS. BC/BS includes birth control prescription coverage in its plans.

This brouhaha over birth control coverage is hypocritical at best and plainly, politically contrived in a more cynical view.

NYC Public Employees are covered. My daughter has, and her husband still does, work for the NYC Public Schools. BC is covered, although with a co-pay, as with all scripts.

Where are the bishops complaining about this? I worked for a Catholic Non-Profit Agency and BC was covered through CIGNA that we were insured through. They seem to implly all that all Catholic organizations are covered by the Church. CIGNA is a religious organization?
