Why are conservative christians getting so bent out of shape over this contraceptive issue?

I thought everything is god's will. God has a master plan and everything is supposed to happen for a reason. Why try to change god's plan through endless whining and complaining?

I also don't understand why people even bother praying. What's the point? Why pray to a god and ask him/her/it to change the plan just for you? That's a little selfish, no?

1. Because they don't have an economic plan to run on.

They have no idea how to create jobs.

Their approach to foreign policy is "kill everyone who isn't us".

All they have left is to reach out to the end of the world Christians. Those who think Jesus is about to return and throw Israel into the lake of fire.

And they know it isn't...because no one can say what God has planned.

As for praying...they always seem to want to be seen doing it in public, against the teachings of their own Holy book.

And they always swear in his name, another taboo in the Bible...if they swear in his name and fail, then they are screwed...and asking for forgiveness only counts if you're sincere...you're not sincere if you keep doing the same thing over and over again, like lying!

For them it's not about God's will, it's all about power and controlling people's lives.

6. I think it comes down to the concept that lower IQ support republicans

If you haven't seen the study floating around the last few weeks but it shows that those people with lower IQs support republicans.

So if you are someone who has fewer kids - there's a better chance you can save up to send your kids to college and get them a better way of life. And that education might just make those kids thinkers and turn them into progrssives.

Keep the families large so they cannot afford college. Large families will require more money from the govermnent which gives the republicans excuses to cut education funding.

They want to keep us stupid.

Because outside of the Catholic church, I don't know of any group bent around the axle about contraception.
