No so damn smug anymore are ya? .... Wis. Senator Scott Fitzgerald

Sen. Scott Fitzgerald, one of the four state senators targeted by recall organizers, said he is challenging more than 4,300 signatures collected to force him to face a special election, saying organizers had submitted “a wide range of irregularities, errors and outright falsehoods” to the Wisconsin GAB.

“The ‘recallers’ are trying to undo the will of more than 44,000 voters in 2010, so the least they can do is follow the rules and be honest with their signatures,” he said in a statement. “I’m happy to run on my record of job creation and balanced budgets, and the people of the 13th district deserve honesty and integrity in the process.”

Recall petitioners have five days to rebut the four officials’ challenges, after which the lawmakers will have two days to respond. The challenges, rebuttals and replies will be assessed by the GAB to determine whether recall organizers submitted enough signatures to trigger special elections.

The board has until March 19 to review the petitions and make a decision on the validity of the challenges.

... that said "your signature is on a recall petition" and went on to describe "fraud" being waged against Fitzy in the recall.

The guests - including the Republican - were quick to point out that using petition information for campaigning is illegal.

Anybody know more???

I would imagine it would depend on the phrasing.

Lori Compas is thinking of running against him if no one comes forward.

I'd vote for her if I could. Teacher, right?
