It looks like the election will be about birth control. GOP sees it as a winning "issue". They will

lose that argument. Pundits I saw on TV seem to think it will hurt Obama. IMO, it will help him. He can talk about jobs, infrastructure, taxes, education, defense, health care, women's health... they can talk about birth control pills and condoms.

They are idiots. Don't they look at polls? These people are so stupid, they should never be in charge of anything.

facts do not matter. Never have, never will.

These hammerheads are blazing away at both feet with tommy guns and it will bite them in the end. As James Carville said, when you see your opponent drowning, throw the SOB an anvil.

These imbeciles took their own anvil in with them.

Many conservative Catholics mistakenly think that their Church is absolutely opposed to abortion & contraception, as the first issue that should always be in their minds when voting. So conservative members of the church will bring this issue up for a while, to energize this base. Then of course? After being led on and used for their votes, mainstream Republicans will drop them. As usual.

They've been floating that idea for quite a while now. Not that they'd be very successful, but the SB leaders would be noisy in their demands and hectoring.

they'll turn to "the center" once the nominee is clear.

at that point, they will NOT be talking about birth control.

Of course if the issue was b/c it would be a wedge issue and it would drive the rethugs into obscurity.

If you listen to their discourse, they NEVER talk about b/d. It's always about "violation of freedom of speech" and "forcing religion to do what government wants".

Protestants, who have been in favor of b/c forever, are taking issue with this. That tells you it's not about b/c.

How many female pundits (outside of FAUX) have been saying that?

Don't believe it for a minute. The boy's club is dead wrong on this one.

Edit to add: I don't think this is anything more than a blip. The economy is improving and the Republican's death throws have become more violent. This will all be history by the time the end of the month because the fight over payroll taxes will be front and center again.

win, I will be out of here, really. This country will be no place for a woman to be. I'm way past my reproductive years but if this is any indication of how Republicans will treat women my age, it does not bode well.
