Rick Santorum’s CPAC speech "It’s about government control of your lives"

Rick Santorum’s CPAC speech: ‘"It's not about contraception," Santorum said. "It's about economic liberty; it's about freedom of speech; it's about freedom of religion. It's about government control of your lives and it's got to stop.".

That's why because his religion bans it, he wants to deny all women in the United States the basic right to have medical control of their bodies. He want's to not just deny government funding for women but deny your right to pay for one yourself. So much for economic freedom. More than that he wants to deny your freedom to talk to your doctor about all your choices. So much for free speech. Either Rick has suddenly become pro-choice or he's just a rambling hypocritical idiot that should be ignored.

3. But he's not at all concerned about his religion controlling the lives

of people who don't even belong to it.

At least when the government tries to control my life I can fight back by voting. The Catholic Church, of which I am not a member, doesn't care about the interests or opinions of anybody but its celibate (except for diddling altar boys) all-male priesthood.

Big Religion and Big Biznezz get their usual passes from a government official whose salary I pay. Classic how that works.

the lives of everyone.

There are about 4,000 religions in the world ... he forgets about the other 3,999 religions and those of us that have none. He wants a theocratic dystopia, his brand, running every aspect of ones life.

That's what gets me about a jerk like this. He bitches about gov. running lives, but then wants to replace that with his brand of religion running everyones lives. I'm so tired of these F's trying to tell everyone what to do. He and his like are a bunch of cretins in my book.

of womens' rights. Yep, equality, freedom and equal opportunity. What a bunch of BS gets pushed onto students. I can't believe all of this crap is being rehashed by these R jerks.

Often, this is a very very backward nation. And MSM gives jerks like him the spotlight.

Did Hitler promote genocide in Mein Kampf? After my eyes glassed over reading his drivel the best conclusion I had was it was possible but that was an easy conclusion given hindsight. Looking at Santorum's words it does appear to me HE wants government to control your lives. A very easy conclusion without much hindsight.

Republicans often "fear" exactly what they do or want done. Hence all this fear of liberal voter fraud, or liberal federal workers, of activist judges, the homosexual agenda... these are generally not actual things that exist. These are things they do and justify because of they perceive everyone else as doing them too.

Santorum clearly wants to control peoples bodies (particularly women). He's stated it over and over. More than that the anti-abortion agenda has move way passed anti-abortion and into anti-contraception and definition of life. They fear the liberal agenda has some how gone there with them. Where as most normal sane people take buying a condom for granted and frankly aren't interested in definitions of life.

I think it's safe to say that religion is pretty free in the United States these days. Maybe we should start worrying about the rest of the country being free from it.
