FBI certainly respected the Civil Rights of one guy before 9/11

Ask Coleen Rowley about Zacarias Moussaoui. He said he wasn't interested in learning to take off or land, but the guy paid cash to learn how to turn and direct a 747.

Even after he was accused by FBI agents and flight school instructors of being a likely hijacker in August, 2001, FBI Washington worked diligently to protect his laptop and papers from an invasion of privacy.

1. Note1: (Melbourn (sic)) after Blackwater Training

The phone number is for a NC location - the main Blackwater facility. But, there is a Blackwater charter aviation affiliate, AWS, in Melbourne, FL that does not appear to provide flight training. Note2, however, AWS wasn't acquired until April 2003, according to this Wiki entry. However, Note4: SouceWatch has identified AWS and Presidential as "Rendition Airlines", which later provided rendition flights for the CIA. http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Planes_alleged_to_have_been_used_for_extraordinary_rendition

Mousaquoi's notebook:

Why did he have the number for a CIA charter airline company two years before it was reportedly acquired by Blackwater? For flight training? Didn't Daniel Hopsicker allege that Rudy Decker's FL flight training school was also CIA connected?

Aviation Worldwide Services (AWS) was founded by Richard Pere and Tim Childrey, and was based at Melbourne, Florida, USA. It owned and operated three subsidiaries: STI Aviation, Inc. Air Quest, Inc. and Presidential Airways, Inc. In April 2003 it was acquired by Blackwater USA.[51]

Presidential Airways (PAW) is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations Part 135 charter cargo and passenger airline based at Melbourne International Airport. It operates aircraft owned by AWS. Presidential Airways holds a Secret Facility Clearance from the U.S. Department of Defense.[52] It operates several CASA 212 aircraft in addition to a Boeing 767.[53][54] Several of the MD-530 helicopters used by Blackwater Security Consulting in Iraq are also operated through AWS.[55][56]

A CASA 212 aircraft, tail number N960BW, operated by Presidential Airways crashed on November 27, 2004, in Afghanistan; it had been a contract flight for the United States Air Force en route from Bagram to Farah.[57] All aboard, three soldiers and three civilian crew members, were killed. Several of their surviving kin filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Presidential in October 2005.[58]

In late September 2007, Presidential Airways received a $92m contract from the Department of Defense for air transportation in Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan.[59][60]

STI Aviation focuses on aircraft maintenance, and is a FAA/Joint Aviation Authorities 145 repair station.[51] They specialize in Short 360, EMB 120, Saab 340, and CASA 212 maintenance. As of January 2008, STI Aviation appears to have been folded into AWS, along with Air Quest.[61]

Many of Blackwater's tactical and training aircraft are registered to Blackwater affiliate EP Aviation LLC, named for Blackwater's owner, Erik Prince.[62] These aircraft include fourteen Bell 412 helicopters, three Hughes/MD 369 "Little Bird" helicopters, four Bell 214ST medium-lift helicopters, three Fairchild Swearingen Merlin IIIC turboprop airliners, nine Aérospatiale Puma utility helicopters,[63] a Maule Air MT-7-235 STOL aircraft, an Embraer EMB 314 Super Tucano counterinsurgency aircraft, and a Mooney M20E fixed wing aircraft.[64]

Aviation Worldwide Services was purchased for $200 million in 2010 by AAR Corp., an Illinois company. In a letter released on February 8, 2011, the new owners informed state officials that they are shutting down the Moyock, North Carolina, operation and moving some employees to a new business location in Melbourne, Florida. Some 260 staff are affected with about 50 losing their jobs, beginning at the end of February. The company views the aviation division as a growth opportunity.[65]

Aviation Worldwide Services LLC (AWS) is a sister company to Presidential Airways, Inc., both of which are owned by Blackwater USA, Melbourne, FL. AWS owns the planes, and Presidential Airways operates them.[1]

The company appears to provide air services to the CIA - flight records show that its N964BW has made at least two trips to the agency's Camp Peary training facility,[2], N963BW went there in March and April 2009[3] and N962BW went there in May 2006.[4] Another plane it owns, N968BW, flew from Washington Dulles International Airport to Camp Peary on March 13, 2007. [5]

In October 2005, the Washington Post reported that AWS is a defendant in a wrongful death suit in the U.S. District Court in Florida, brought by the families of the three soldiers killed when the company's N960BW (Blackwater 63) crashed in Afghanistan. The co-defendants are Presidential Airways Inc., STI Aviation Inc. and Air Quest Inc. The suit alleges negligence.[6][1]

Landings by civil-registered aircraft

Flight records accessed in June 2006 show that Tepper Aviation's N2189M is a regular visitor to the facility.[4] That aircraft has been previously alleged to have been involved in extraordinary rendition.[5]

Aviation Worldwide Services' N964BW also visited Camp Peary on at least two occasions in the first half of 2006.[6] And N962BW, registered to Presidential Airways, Inc., flew there in May of that year.[7] Both companies operate the aviation contracting arm of Blackwater USA, a well-known private military corporation.

N208DG and N22889 are two less well-known civil-registered aircraft that have also visited the site.[8][9]

N46F, which belongs to Hunt Consolidated, Inc., visited Camp Peary in late November 2006.[10] Hunt Consolidated, Inc. is the parent company of Hunt Oil Company.
Background

Camp Peary was "originally established on the banks of the York River in 1942 as a training camp for Navy SeaBees, and later included a Prisoner of War camp." "At some point following WW2, the property was transferred from the Navy to the Central Intelligence Agency, which made Camp Peary its field operations training site." [11]

The facility, which occupies "about 9,275 acres of land" in a "wooded area enclosed with chain-link fences, barbed wire, guards and 'No Trespassing' signs, has been an enigma along Interstate 64" since it opened January 22, 1952. [12]

In 1994, it was believed to be a Department of Defense "training facility for covert operations." [13]
Location Directions

Camp Peary is located just east of Route 143, the Camp Peary/Colonial Williamsburg exit (Exit 238) of Interstate 64.

...and government types, like the super patriotic Paleoconservative Erik Prince.

Thank you very much for detailing the exact import of one little scrap of evidence that demonstrates the real impact this history makes on every America's every day existence. Incredible information, it ties the nation's business class directly to the nation's war business.

The presence of Blackwater at that point in the story was a precursor for their work today, mixing the killing for hire business with unaccountable government business.

A most profitable co-venture, at that.

they trained for the Bin Laden mission. Interesting that Prince's larger property is virtually adjacent. Symbolic of the still secret relationship between CIA and Blackwater/Xi/Academi. You do know who Cofer Black is, and about his role at the center of CIA-CIA letting the Flt. 77 hijackers into the US and cancelling the warning cable that was to go out to FBI, and how he and Richard Blee later made it so easy for UBL walk out of Tora Bora.

Anyway, here's more on the goings on down in the Great Dismal Swamp: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvey_Point

The Harvey Point Defense Testing Activity facility, owned by the Department of Defense, is located on a peninsula in Perquimans County, North Carolina, along the Albemarle Sound, near the city of Hertford, NC. It was established in World War II as Naval Air Station Harvey Point, an operating base for sea planes conducting anti-submarine surveillance off the Atlantic coast. A close-by naval facility, Naval Air Station Weeksville, served as a blimp base during and after World War II.

To comply with various procurement regulations, the Department of the Navy holds the title to and budgetary responsibility for the facility. Agencies such as the ATF, CIA, and FBI have used the facility for complex training relating to overseas counter terrorism and asset protection training.[citation needed][1]

History

The point was originally occupied during the 1670s by the Harvey Family, including North Carolina's first native-born governor, Thomas Harvey -- hence the name "Harvey Point."[citation needed]
World War II

Courthouse records indicate that in November 1942 the United States Navy purchased the point, roughly 1,200 acres (5 km2), for $41,751. The Navy then constructed an air station on the property for use during World War II. During World War II Harvey Point was used as a seaplane base.

After the war, the naval air station was deactivated until 1958 when the Navy announced Harvey Point would serve as the testing grounds for the new Martin P6M Seamaster, an experimental jet-powered long-range seaplane bomber. The project was cancelled in August 1959 when the Navy determined the aircraft wasn't successful enough for it to continue providing support for the program. Then, in 1961, the Navy returned to the property and announced that the property was closed to the public; it has remained that way ever since.
Current use

Specialty military air operations are located at this facility, as the installation has two usable landing fields and plans for a third. Through a NOTAM order issued by the FAA on behalf of several agencies, a permanent "no-fly zone" exists within 25 radial miles of the facility due to the ordnance testing that occurs at the facility and the related hazards that exist for general aviation.[citation needed] A significant portion of the air space within the Albemarle Sound is jointly administered and monitored by the FAA and the US Navy.[citation needed] Harvey Point is also used for CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) paramilitary and counter-terrorism courses that involve high explosives and ballistics. The explosives are used to simulate terrorist bombs and can be heard for miles in the surrounding communities.[2] It was also used by Navy Seal Team Six to train for the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, in a scale mockup of his secret compound.[3][4]

Note5: Blackwater Airstrip is well inside that 25 radial mile FAA "no fly zone" of Harvey Point DTA. Technically, anyone landing or taking off at Blackwater would be in violation of FAA rules, unless of course they were themselves the CIA or DoD or invited guests. What does than make Blackwater, itself, since it opened its own airstrip there in Sept. '03 and started running rendition flights?

Wikileaks Release Suggests Stratfor Inside Info Plan with Goldman Sachs Exec

WikiLeaks released more than 5 million e-mails Monday hacked from U.S.-based global intelligence firm Strategy Forecasting Inc. (Stratfor), revealing an alleged plan between the firm's CEO and a Goldman Sachs executive to set up an investment fund that would rely on inside information gathered by the company.

A September 2011 company-wide e-mail composed by Stratfor CEO George Friedman indicates that Goldman Sachs financial adviser and former Managing Director Shea Morenz was directly involved in the establishment of the investment fund StratCap.

"Shea Morenz provided us with two opportunities," wrote Friedman.

"First, he made an investment in Stratfor designed to give us the capital needed to build our staff and our marketing. Second, he proposed a new venture, StratCap, which would allow us to utilize the intelligence we were gathering about the world in a new but related venue -- an investment fund. Where we had previously advised other hedge funds. We would now have our own, itself fully funded by Shea."
