(45,558 posts)Democratic Party (Cleveland, Ohio) was to get out to the AA Churches and see how the spirit really did move people.
I was also involved in an Organization to bring the liberal Churches together in order to balance out the growing political power of the Right Wing Religious activists.
In many ways, that was the best eight years of my life as well as the most confounding as well.
Experience politics in a County that was so diverse, almost entirely on the Democratic Party side, gave me true appreciation of a lot of sub-cultures and organizations that most people never see.
This picture reminded of being out and about with people.
I bet it was really hot on that stage, wearing those heavy robes.
I feel sorry for those kids forced to be props for a right wing politician.
