1. Several years back

My wife and I were supposed to go eat dinner with friends. She is a nurse and was called in to work so we didn't get to go. Our friends went without us and on the way there as they were traveling down the highway, in a torential rain, my friends noticed that something was going on to the left of the highway as as they approached a farm house it just exploded then on a few hundred feet a barn did the same. My friends were perplexed as to what was happening and slowed down and about then they seen what was going on. A tornado crossed the highway right in front of them, maybe a hundred feet. If he hadn't slowed down when he did the tornado would have hit them. As it was the farmhouse was empty, no one home so there were no injuries but there sure could have been if my friend hadn't slowed down when he did.
Cars are not tornado shelters
