Did Governor Romney declare war on the Latter Day Saints?

This whole issue with Obama "declaring war on the Catholic Church" has got me thinking, since Romney did pretty much the same thing in Mass. does that mean he declared war on his church, which also bans birth control? This has been a fairly consistent doctrine of the LDS based on their belief in the pre-mortal existence and that using birth control denies a spirit the chance to come to earth. So, where's the outrage at Mittens?

He's a "say anything" type.

he is a "good" mormon -- lying for the lord. He'll say anything to anyone if he thinks he can get votes out of it. I also think his church is so desperate to have one of their own in the White House they suspend all moral directives to do so. It's the only reasoning that explains the plural positions he takes on a given subject without batting an eyelash.

My father used it as did every sexually active person in my family. Openly. (attitudes changed in the 60s in he church regarding birth control)

In fact, as I recall the LDS aren't too exercised theologically about abortion, because theoretically the baby gets its soul at the moment it draws in its first breath.

Coming in on a beam from Kolob, but that's another story.
