He's in a very dark and interesting film called Big Fan which is great if you are in a dark and interesting mood. His performance is great, I love the guy.

it doesn't make it true absolute fact. And you can believe anything you want but, you do not have the right to force someone else, through whatever means, to believe what you believe. If I want to believe that little blue elephants flutter outside my bedroom window every night singing me lullabies to sleep, I'm free and clear to do so. But, I do not have the right to force you to believe and/or accept my beliefs as sacred and infallible. We need to start making this clear in this country.

Faith is simply the belief in something that is untrue or unprovable. And with hundreds of millions of people in this country there are billions of beliefs. We need to stop trying to micromanage everyone else's lives and start learning to simply manage our own.

Although my son assigned the surname Oswalt to his cat, which makes me go Hmmmm.

But that's so true. Acknowledging someone's beliefs is one thing. But politely making it clear that their opinions are not actually worthy of respect as in they're not well thought out or are grounded in ignorance, is something else entirely.

words somehow become more powerful if transferred to a jpeg and superimposed over a picture, wasting countless amounts of energy, to say nothing of bandwidth? Yeah, that's fucking stupid.

We must respect the other fellows religion, but only in the sense and to the extent that we respect his theory that his wife is beautiful and his children smart. H. L. Mencken
