Birth Control, is the line in the sand?

Really, Catholic Church, all of your teachings on social justice, various encyclicals from various Popes, including the current one, talking about the rights of labor, the need to place people before profits, and you all focus on birth control and ignore the others. What the hell? I was called a cafeteria catholic back when i believed, but they are no better. Seriously, why is this the issue that the Bishops are choosing to make such a big political deal about, why aren't the issuing letters condemning Santorum's greed, and barring him from communion like they threatened to do to Kerry in 04?

4. To some it is relevant. Just as being a Jew is important to their faith. However, like all faiths

male religious leaders don't care about women really. A majority of women this year will vote on this one issue of birth control. A majority of women of all faiths support birth control pills. They are not going to have some man tell them how many children th ey can have. It is never going to happen. The line in the sand has been drawn.

They don't care what the issue is as long as they can scream about it.

in very narrow cases. But it goes to show even the freaking Pope of said church is more progressive than the odd very vocal American conserva-catholic lobby.
