Cain: Improving job market a threat to GOP

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/cain-improving-job-market-a-threat-to-gop-2012-02-09?link=MW_story_latest_news\

I'd like to add the details of what Cain said, which included offhand comments on the contrast between the real unemployment rate and the reported rate...but I'm not going to.

I'm not going to because the topic of Cain's remarks wasn't: "Here's the GOP plan to get America working" or even "The improving economic trends are great for America...here's what the GOP did to improve the lives of middle class Americans."

No, the focus was on how this business of America getting back to work was a bad thing for the GOP - and that sentiment, that blind grasping for power at the expense of those whom the GOP claim to represent best, is the real legacy of Cain's party. Cain knows its bad news, because he knows the GOP can't even pretend to take the credit.

That message deserves to reverberate without interference, like a clarion call, or more aptly, bell tolling for the dead and dying GOP.
