As automakers are starting to bring electric vehicle (EV) technology into the mainstream, conservative media outlets have repeatedly misled consumers about electric cars by trying to paint them as environmentally harmful and unsafe, among other false claims.

Segments of the US media can try to downplay EVs, but the rest of the world will continue to move forward, away from ICE vehicles. Other countries are greatly expanding solar and wind while the US seems to always have disagreements about wind farms etc. while new pipelines, fracking etc. are pushed as the wave of the future (drill baby drill).

I'm the proud owner of a Nissan Leaf and sleep well knowing I'll never need a drop of gasoline. Yes, short term, a lot of US power comes from coal, but that needs to change. Until there are millions of EVs, EVs basically are powered by electricity which is produced for other uses.
