City of Rochester [NY] property developer [Wilmorite] owes $22.3 million in back taxes

The (I)ndependant :cough: Republican Mayor, Tom Richards is ebbing towards tax forgiveness to the developer to the tune of $22.3 million dollars in back taxes...

Excuse me?!

[Corporate] Welfare Kings, anyone?!

This sh*t makes me so angry!

A tax lien foreclosure should have been implemented *years* ago, instead; the developer was able to utilize property tax valuation loopholes in city government to tie up taxes owed on the property during pending litigation.

The developer now stands to sell the property, through property tax forgiveness at an obscene profit.

This is akin to the PATEC/Windstream property deal in which the City of Rochester sold a $6.8 million dollar property for $1 as party of a COMIDA deal in which they also, pay no property taxes for 10 years...

WTF IS GOING ON HERE?!
