(26,549 posts)I have plenty of compassion for teabaggers in Oklahoma who keep voting for people who cut disaster aid.
That doesn't mean those teabaggers are off the hook for those votes. They need to learn they aren't just voting for their team. THey need to know that their vote has real-world consequences.
The problem is I don't have a way to accomplish that. Just handing out aid anyway has failed - the teabaggers don't make the connection that their votes are imperiling that aid. But not handing out aid is horrific in itself.
So something has to be done. I don't know what that something is.
