Manufactured indignation.

Since the unemployment rate has dropped drastically to 8.3% and may go under 8% by election time, the Repubs were frantically searching for another "issue" to run on. That is why they are making such a big deal over this contraception issue and the separation of church and state and the Catholic voters. It is nothing more. Simple political opportunism.

I think they poorly selected a change of topic. It's clearly catching fire in their base, but ultimately going to cost them votes with women voters. imo

And nothing more. Americans are as bad during election years as some countries are about their soccer teams during the World Cup. There's a level of crazy that comes out every few years.
