About 40 children are still unaccounted for at Plaza elementary school

Just heard it from the local ABC affiliate in Oklahoma. The Lieutenant Governor says 2 dozen children are still missing at the Oklahoma school.

Lets hope for a miracle!

Reporter just now said they are still not giving up on rescue efforts at the school. 2 janitors still unaccounted for at the school.

They are mostly focusing on the kids. Bringing in cameras that are able to detect body heat to see if there are any survivors.

who were moved to the hallways by the school people, watched over by the school people and probably helped by the school people, who have families of their own wondering where they are.

8. There are million ways the media depersonalizes those of us who live

regular lives. Focusing on the blood sucking fear or reality of the loss of a child is one of those ways. We need to call them out on this and remind ourselves and each other we are all more than that. In a mess like this everyone is an innocent.

18. On our local news there were parents saying that the teachers

covered the children. Not much has been said about the fate of them.

3. KFOR (Channel 4 in OK) reported a half hour ago that those children may be displaced.

A nearby church had taken in a lot of survivors. Let's hope...

10. KWTV-9 is reporting authorities saying

there may be as many as 40-50 still in the elementary school. They will be searching throughout the night, but it doesn't look good.

who said he helped pull a car off an adult in the school. He said she had three or four kids under her. He started to cry.

Imagine if there had been a tunnel or bunker of some sort for them to be in. Even if the school were destroyed, the rescue workers could be fairly confident of digging them out alive. I don't think there is a whole lot of hope for them if there wasn't a place for them to hunker down.

has yet to come out. The death toll is going to be bad.
