... check yourself for a pulse:
Children dressed as Mahatma Gandhi arrive on a bus to take part in a peace march in Kolkata, January 29, 2012. Four hundred and eighty-five children from the Training Resource and Care for Kids (TRACKS), a charity for single mothers and children living without support at railway stations, took part in an attempt Sunday to create a Guinness World Record for being the largest gathering of people dressed as Mahatma Gandhi. The father of nonviolent resistance, Gandhi was assassinated 64 years ago today. January 30 is observed as Martyrs Day in India.

(8,559 posts)... in the hearts and minds of children does not give rise to hope? Perhaps you're already filled with hope and need no hope restoration photo therapy -- I hope so. And I hope you find hope if you've lost it. Hope is important.

(13,776 posts)Those kids don't have much levity in their lives--living with their single mothers at railway stations... the imagination boggles at what their day-to-day life is like. I love that they got to be a part of this. It won't change the world but it'll be a good memory for them.
