No, really. Jacobin Magazine? Seriously?

Why would you want to read something modeling itself on the Jacobins, who (with their "incorruptible" leader Robespierre) initiated and carried out the Reign of Terror? Who executed thousands of people (including former allies and members) whom they deemed "disloyal."

No one has wanted to be associated with the Jacobins since, like, the XIV Brumaire.

Yikes. What next, "Pol Pot Monthly"?

all the way to FDR to Occupy today. and all the other leftist movements.

that they were wrong and what happened was horrible. but they gave attention to issues concerning haves/have nots even if they didn't really get much done about it.

didn't buy it. It looked interesting and intelligent, but I just don't have the extra time to read any magazine.

Really great. Actually one of the few intelligent bright spots coming out of the far Left in a long, long time. Very sharp, young writers. I'm a bit more moderate than them, but it's all very engaging stuff.

Lots of politics and economics. All very serious, but also very stylish.
