Sometimes its hard to bite your tongue and keep your mouth shut.

Overheard at the gas station tonight.

I'm paraphrasing.

"Obama can't do anything right look at gas prices" this was followed by comments about him being a socialist, the Benghazi scandal, blah blah blah.

Republicans claim to love capitalism but they're always the first morons to say the government should do something about gas prices. The irony of demanding price controls while simultaneously calling the President a socialist is enough to make me want to jam pencils in my ears. These rugged individualists and defenders of the free market are the most ENTITLED cry babies on the planet. No you're not entitled to 50 cent gas to fill up that piece of shit SUV that you thought you needed.

I'm likely to say "Do you people ever listen to yourselves?" and walk away laughing and twiddling my index finger next to my temple.

That's one of the great benefits to being an old broad. We no longer care what anybody thinks about us.

If someone is in their 60's and driving an Expedition with NRA and "gun control is not missing your target" bumper stickers there isn't a lot of hope that they're going to have a change of heart.

Nothing has worked on those cement headed dimwits.

I would love to make it socially unacceptable to talk like that in public. I'm just sick of hearing it.

I remember vividly how they used to point out how Shit-for-Brains had nothing
to do with the price of gas during the corrupt and evil BushCo Regime.

Gas was 1.85 when Bush left office.

Of course that was because no one had a job and the economy was in a death spiral. But hey at least I could fill up my Suburban for 40 bucks on the way to the unemployment office.

and Cheney even held at least one secret meeting with oil industry fatcats, they couldn't *possibly* have had any influence on oil prices

Tell them its part of his school choice voucher program. Tell them parents will only get the vouchers if the school they select includes the Koran on the required 5th grade reading list. Say its hidden in an amendment to his budget proposal, and positioned as a protection for religious freedom in schools so that true Christians might miss it.

Face it ... there is no use talking to them about politics directly .... you might as well have some fun feeding them some insane nonsense of a type that they will most likely immediately believe and then repeat to others.

Then you get to giggle like crazy when you tell sane people what you told them. If you are lucky, a right wing friend or family member will send the same story back to you in a blast email.
