While Obama was dragged into the mud over the IRS, and the AP Story looked so wretched, and even liberals were sounding pretty mad at Obama, and then Rubio and Cruz and then one Republican after another came out screaming for blood...
And everyone's emotions were being see-sawed back and forth... then the facts started coming out Obama stood tall and the Republicans, it ends up, asked for the AP Investigation, also seems the emails were edited and misreported, and Rubio and the Republicans kind of looked like stupid asshats, then they ask for a vote on Obamacare, just so they can PROVE to the American public that they still haven't changed a damned thing nor learned a damned thing.
And over there Elizabeth Warren was in round three of a boxing match landing blow after blow and proving she's the new Joe Biden of the Senate and, perhaps, one hell of a VP Candidate.
And while all that crap was going on... Hillary Clinton was on a beach somewhere, having a mimosa, getting a massage and her hair colored. Maybe a little nip and tuck then a vacation in the sun somewhere. Yeah, while all that mayhem was happening, Hillary Clinton was resting, having a little sleep in, maybe went to lunch with Bill or Chelsea. She might have read a book.
Or she might have watched the news and had a chuckle or two as she watched her rivals twisting in the wind.
Either way, she was just off getting rested and stronger while everyone else took a beating. That's good politics.

(7,318 posts)Pretty presumtuous of you to speculate about Clinton"s possible activities and the activities speculated about sound so misogynistic.

(4,359 posts)I figure, nothing will ever be harder for her than what the Monica Lewinsky situation put her through. If she can survive that, there is nothing they can do to her that she can't handle.
I never felt one way or other about her until that. She kept her chin up, she looked people in the eye, and I was impressed. She proved to me she has the backbone for the job way back then.

(7,318 posts)but I don't think a tough, former Sec of State should be portrayed like this. There are surely better non-misogynistic scenarios to use that would evoke an image of a Hillary who is untouched by breaking waves in a rough surf (See-there you go!)

(4,359 posts)She's on vacation now, remember?

(7,318 posts)surname "Clinton" more than her husband (is that your focus?), at this point, and I'm not even a fan of hers. Your imagined description of her sounded more 'Barbie's Dreamhouse' than 'former Secretary of State'.

I actually enjoyed your whole OP a lot. It gave me a little chuckle due to the high probability of truth in it

(12,799 posts)After whitewater, whitewater, whitewater; harry and louise; monica, monica, monica; and finally benghazi, benghazi, benghazi; I find it highly likely that she'll finally say something like, "eff this. I've had enough."

(1,009 posts)I think there are more people wanting her to run than herself wanting to run. The best thing would be for a new, fresh face. I think it's time for Kucinich to come back to the table.

(12,799 posts)He didn't win his last primary. I don't think that bodes well for a presidential run. Truly, I think it is time for a woman to run and win. I am not convinced that that woman will be Hillary.

(1,009 posts)but if there are other, better, choices, I'm not going to stick to Hillary. I just don't see any woman out there from the Democratic party who has enough of a stature to make a go at it, at the moment.
Then again, Obama was a junior senator with no list of serious accomplishments when he ran and won.
Can you/we name 5 potential women candidates?
DonRedwood
(4,359 posts)But I like her a lot. But she is also in that age range that means sooner than later. Clinton/Warren sounds mighty good to me.

(12,799 posts)We have ONE (1) female Democratic Governor in the U.S. today. Thank you, New Hampshire! Maggie Hassan has little national recognition, but she would have an advantage in the early New Hampshire primaries.
Tammy Duckworth has potential coming up, but she needs more than Congressional experience on her resume'. Elizabeth Warren ROCKS and she may be our earliest, best hope after Hillary. If we add Hillary into the mix ... I've named four.
DonRedwood
(4,359 posts)But I do want a woman President. Elizabeth Warren will do just fine for that as well.

(1,397 posts)Ms. Big Dawg and Mr. Big Dawg move back into the White House as President and Presidential Advisor . . . for EIGHT years . . . with Democratic majorities in House and Senate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then, on 24 January, we will see Darrell "Car Thief" Issa, John "Tan In A Can" Boner, Eric Can't-er, and Turtleface McConnell perp-marched in orange jumpsuits to Gitmo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(11,304 posts)I was kinda of laughing because the lady that was doing my hair cut is really religious and I couldn't believe her saying that. So I told her I was going to steal that saying. It is so appropriate with the stuff going on this whole week. I think it's going to backfire on republicans.
