But this is sad news. Most of the films of his, i have seen. My favorite had to be Jason and the Argonauts, though The Valley of Gwangi was also up there. Great stop motion action.. I hope he at least received a life time achievement award at the Oscars. He was a true pioneer of stop motion animation.
