That doesn't fly in America, you know.

Shave their dopey / magnificent (respectively) mustaches off, though, and you may have a point.

...And yes, the notion that whiskers are where the line is drawn is depressing.

What is worrisome about this election is that the GOP will most likely run two teabagging idiots in 2016. The even remote possibility that the GOP could win is mind boggling.

and 20 states where a sizeable number of voters would decide that any republican is better than any democrat.

Basically, a majority of voters (many of them would identify themselves as fiscally conservative "values voters&quot in SC-1 just elected a man who abandoned his job and spent large sums of taxpayer money to go on a c*nt hunt in South America. All because he opposes "Obamacare" and shares their hatred for gay people.

But since we're stuck with the 2 party scam, yeah.

This election proved that Repubs will elect anybody so long as they are not a Democrat. It's party over the candidate for them.

Get a little perspective. The world is not over because some philanderer won in a district that went huge for Romney just six months ago. Also, could it be that Busch ran a shitty campaign? Or that her brother hurt her chances as well? There are other factors out there. Oh, and Sanford does suck and his election could be good news for dems. Akin 2.0

I said the Repubs chose their party over their candidate who is a complete sack of crap. Busch was never going to win this race because of Repubs refusal to vote for anyone not a Republican.

Just that some are way overreacting to a loss of a house seat that was difficult to win to begin with.

Hell, if Republicans just had the sense to stop saying stupid crap about rape, they'd control the Senate right now.

There are some Democrat districts I am sure Stalin would win over a Republican.

That's what our politics have de-evolved into. We don't vote for people anymore. And this is what George Washington was most worried about when he trashed political parties in his farewell address. He made it clear he thought parties are destructive to democracy and will only create divisions.

They will continue to control the benighted, less populated areas. If we can cut off their electricity, Glenn Beck will lose control of their minds. Until then, not a chance in hell.

Let'em fool everyone

Or another idea, get Obama the Dems in the House and Senate to all switch to Republican. Of course they will be a bunch of RINOS. But, it will fool the heck out of them.

about other districts in the country, that if the aforementioned had a (D) by their names, they could get elected.

Or that Jesus or Gandhi COULDN'T get elected in some districts if they had an (R) by their names (or a (D), depending on where one was referring to).

See how silly this all sounds?

We're a big, diverse country. Like it or not, there are people, a goodly number of people, who do not share our political views. We have to try to win them over with the better argument, not castigate them, call them all kinds of ugliness, wish death or worse upon them, etc.

Most districts are safe districts, for both parties. It is not silly, it's the truth.

Mull on this, over a million more Americans voted for Democrats for the house, care to take a look at the constitution of the House?

Our system helps prevent them getting too much power. We saw Bush as President, and he wasn't able to take over the way Hitler did, in spite of impressive tries with Cheney behind them.
