Man's persistent runny nose found to be leaking brain fluid.

http://www.christianpost.com/news/nose-leaking-brain-fluid-mans-constantly-runny-nose-due-to-brain-fluid-leaking-out-video-photo-95435/#xlPGXqWLF1VL2MVe.01

After finally going to a specialist, who tested the fluid from his nose, he found out that it was in fact brain fluid leaking out of his nose.

He described the harrowing moment he found out: "I was scared to death if you want to know the truth."

The brain fluid started to leak after a hole appeared in the membrane surrounding Nagy's brain.

"You don't really think about it, but our brains are really just above our noses all of the time," said Dr. Peter Nakaji, a neurosurgeon at Barrow Neurological Institute.

A friend of ours had surgery to correct the same issue...and an actor (can't recall the name now) had the same thing after an injury..

Infection is the real danger

on his way down, and then the leaking started..His was from the nose and left ear.. The doctors at first said he had an ear infection, and then the specialist (for the concussion) found the "leaks"...he had a double

My dad was an oral maxillofacial surgeon.

It was something he commonly described to me and ALWAYS with the understanding that the infection was the real danger.

Dr straightens the nose, accidentally perforates membrane containing cerebral spinal fluid. Infection is the big scare.

And now I'm hyper-aware of my brain sitting right there above my nose, all the damn time. I think I'm going to go cross-eyed...
