Tsarnaev family received $100G in benefits

The Tsarnaev family, including the suspected terrorists and their parents, benefited from more than $100,000 in taxpayer-funded assistance — a bonanza ranging from cash and food stamps to Section 8 housing from 2002 to 2012, the Herald has learned.

“The breadth of the benefits the family was receiving was stunning,” said a person with knowledge of documents handed over to a legislative committee today.

The state has handed over more than 500 documents to the 11-member House Post Audit and Oversight Committee, which today met for the first time and plans to call in officials from the Department of Transitional Assistance to testify.

$10K per year or, $2,500 per family member per year. Yep, that's real high living in Boston.

better stop all immigration, because somewhere, sometime, someone underserving might get a meal or shelter.

Boston Herald is like Washington Times.. A rag using "newspaper-y" mastheads, while proffering Drudge/Infowars tripe..

People given asylum ALWAYS receive aid of some sort...and often for long-ish time.

An American family with 4 kids (3 teens included), dropped in ANY country where they did not know the language, would need assistance for the day-to-day existence until they could somehow support their kids.

The nation/community giving asylum has NO way to ever know in advance which immigrant (or their kids) MIGHT grow up to do something awful,

If they were qualified, they were qualified. That it would add up that high is probably an exaggeration.
