Husker spring game star Jack Hoffman meets with President Obama

OFFICIAL WHITE HOUSE PHOTO BY PETE SOUZA
President Barack Obama greets Jack Hoffman of Atkinson, Neb., in the Oval Office on April 29, 2013.

Jack Hoffman's big month just got bigger.

The 7-year-old cancer patient who became an Internet sensation for his touchdown run in Nebraska's spring football game has yet another fan — President Barack Obama.

Jack, his family and former Husker running back Rex Burkhead visited Obama for 15 minutes in the Oval Office on Monday. Obama presented Jack with a new football and told him he was proud of him.

"I thought it was awesome," Jack said.

"It was just such a great opportunity for us to visit him and raise national awareness for pediatric brain cancer," Andy Hoffman said. "He talked about his commitment to research and science."

Upper Deck also created a trading card to immortalize Jack's spring game run.

There really are a lot good, caring people in the world.

agree the Old need to be around for the YOUNG...so I'd like him to focus on BALANCE of his COMPASSION... Spread it around a little. That would be the thing to do to BRING folks together.

with PBO. You think if they brought their Children and Grandchildren with them it would get this kind of Media Play from the WH PR Team?

Or, is it that the "Progressive Caucus" had Children and Grandchildren who are "privileged" and therefore it would merit much media coverage from those in the MSM who already have their kids in nice Beltway Private Schools and who themselves might have had some "help" growing up for their college from "said Elders," and it wouldn't look too good like this your eyes out Photo/Video achieves?
