Well, in one respect that is. The purpose of a business is to turn a profit. The government has wrung most all it can from the poor and lower middle class in the form of taxes and reduction in services. So, if I were the CEO of the USA I would look elsewhere to increase our revenue stream. Like, oh I don't know, since corporations are "people," and people in the U.S. have to pay at least an Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT), why don't we have an Alternative Minimum Corporate Tax (AMCT, I think I'll forward this idea to Grayson). No more record profits without contributing to tax revenues. I'm sure y'all can come up with many more ideas.

Sell it piecemeal, ruin it, steal the pensions and move on to the next country?

(12,228 posts)if they ran it into the ground- which seems a very common American business model made more profitable by the bought government. Instead of the serpent flag "Don't tread on me" it could be the snake devouring its own tail.
