Ed Schultz Will ‘Get Back To Work’ On MSNBC Next Month

TOM KLUDT 3:17 PM EDT, THURSDAY APRIL 25, 2013

Liberal pundit Ed Schultz will return to MSNBC next month, the network announced Thursday.

"The Ed Show" will return to the left-leaning cable news network on Saturday, May 11 at 5 p.m. ET, with another live broadcast scheduled for the next day.

Schultz's program previously aired on weeknights at 8 p.m. ET, but the new program hosted by Chris Hayes, "All In," shifted to that time slot earlier this month. "The Ed Show" will now air on weekends and will expand to a two-hour program in the summer.

Schultz announced the return of his program Thursday on Twitter.

I miss Ed and was getting worried about his return since it took so long to get a start date. Can't wait!

I've missed hearing him say "Let's get to work!" It is a great tag line and makes you want to pay attention.

He's only really losing 1 hour of airtime, and the 2 two-hour show format suits him.. Here's hooping that enough people watch so he gets to stay on the air

I miss him! I think the 2 hour show is suited for him too.
Regarding Chris Hayes: I'm trying, I'm trying...he's smart, attractive and pleasant...but I just don't care for his style and delivery all that much.
I prefer Big Ed!

I just really like the Union supporting, down-home, straight-talking, country boy Ed!
So...Chris annoys you...right? Why? (if you don't mind my asking)

I think Chris Hayes is doing a terrific job at the 8PM time slot. I enjoy his delivery style.
He's no Ezra Klein.

And I'll watch Ed on the weekends. I look forward to his new show.
I currently watch Up and MHP weekend mornings. I'll just add Ed to my watch list. Thank goodness for Tivo. As the weather warms up, I'm more likely to be outside working on my garden.
