Zubeidat Tsarnaeva: "My boy was killed really cruelly!" Well, sorry, Mom ...

but shit happens. The innocent people who suffered the carnage inflicted by your "loving boy" could probably tell you a thing or two about cruelty. Given a choice, some of them might have even preferred to catch a round in the 10 ring over looking down to see that they were missing a limb or two via traumatic amputation.

It's his mom. Her emotions and our emotions are different.

A person with empathy would not antagonize her or make fun of her no matter how many times she said her son was innocent and good and killed cruelly. Even if he was a terrorist, which he was.

if she would just shut the fuck up. She should take a lesson from her daughters -- put out a statement expressing condolences for the loss of life, ask for privacy, and call it a day. I get that she's a grieving mom, but she's hurting her family more by saying such outrageous things.

I'm not saying she's a wonderful human being, but the other day she claimed to a reporter that her oldest son wasn't dead - that it was someone else.

She doesn't believe they did the bombings. She's being selectively quoted to make it appear that she's some sort of a violent Islamist, when it's very clear that she is shocked by the crime and unable to rationally come to grips with the fact that her sons did it.

Imagine being her right now. Her sons did something so horrible, something that would make you question everything about how you parented your children. One of her sons died horribly, and the other is seriously injured and is going to have a very hard road ahead of him. It's not surprising to me that she's having a hard time keeping herself together.

This woman has just found out that one of her sons is dead, and that the other is in the hospital with serious injuries. She's also found out that her sons are murderers.

That's a serious heap of baggage to get dumped on a person all at once, so maybe she deserves some time before we all flex our internet muscles at her and tell her what a pos she is.

55. That's exactly what she is: a narcissist
Wed Apr 24, 2013, 11:00 PM

In fact, I would wager a giant bet, that along with shoplifting as one sign, she probably never showed her sons any empathy, hence why they were unable to show any towards their victims. This is typical narcissistic parent MO. Narcissistic parents will blame anyone and everyone else for their problems and for their kids' problems. They take responsibility for nothing. They make it all about themselves and their victimization, and become attention you-know-whats. Normal human beings with empathy and a conscience will express empathy for the victims even if they don't believe their kids did it.

I grew up with narcissistic parents, and have done a lot of reading about it. My guess is that the older son was the 'favorite' which is why she's lashing out. Usually the favorite can do no wrong. Often the favorite becomes exactly like the parent - narcissistic and lacking in empathy. The family becomes dysfunctional with people in the immediate and extended family 'choosing sides' (sound familiar in this case?) around the narcissist's 'favorite'. Often, siblings are forced to admire and 'obey' the favorite or risk punishment or even banishment in the family. It completely explains this strange family's dynamic. And every time the mother opens her mouth, it further solidifies my opinion.

Edited for spelling - since when does Microsoft auto correct on message boards, wtf?
