If there's a forum where this goes, I'd happily oblige...THIS is what they are saying...

That now deceased Big Brother was in violation of immigration rules, and that President Obama *refused* to deport him. Part of being able to dismantle their constant, bloviating, disinformation campaign is to know how they're trying to frame the narrative. Please help.

He "could" have been deported, but he wasn't. It's not up to Obama to personally go over every bit of information about immigrants.
This administration has actually deported a record number of people.
I wouldn't worry what some idiot on a Texas GOP blog says. I mean, most of those people believe Obama himself is a terrorist

Sat Apr 20, 2013, 08:36 AM
Apr 2013

should be deported? - note, we do not know that there was a conviction, just an arrest and a charge. Deportation of legal residents is not a simple process - it is involved and ties up a lot of law enforcement resources. We are not going to deport every legal resident alien over a domestic assault conviction, let alone a charge of domestic assault.

And why is Judicial Watch BS being disseminated here on DU? - "This is what THEY are saying" , my ass - this is what YOU are saying. If you are going to post BS like this at least take the time to research it a bit and rebut the argument. Just posting teabagger bs without attempting to rebut it is trollish behavior at best and carrying water for the teabaggers at worst. When you troll you get flamed. Consider yourself flamed.

But keep telling yourself that it won't, or that posting about how to refute it somehow aids THEIR cause. It doesn't. It only appeases YOU and YOUR sense of SPITE. Somehow, wanting to refute their claims *before* it dominates the narrative is flame bait for you?

FLAME AWAY CHILD, BECAUSE YOU'RE ALL WET. Really.

It should occur to you that my posting this here *IS* my fucking attempt to rebut it, oh wet one. But keep deluding yourself into thinking that harping is going to change their narrative. Nice try. No dice.

Scholarships are given for all kinds of reasons to all different kinds of people. What is not given to one person doesn't necessarily go to someone else. This is a stupid argument. You don't care about making stupid arguments? So be it.

And a secondary education (SKA High School) is free btw so everyone can afford it.

more, the same agency that pretty much ignored the warning signs of 9/11, the same agency that has stepped on so many rights in the name of stopping the bad guys interviewed a wife beating future bomber and said 'you can stay'. Also, you can travel to hot spots for months and then return unquestioned.
FBI looks very bad. Holder looks very bad. Holder was out there preaching against voter approved marijuana laws, sounding all tough and hard ass, while the guy his agency let go was building deadly bombs, Eric was sniffing around to see if anyone had sparked up a doobie.

35. Gee, no. I'm simply holding Obama's campaign words up to his record.
Sat Apr 20, 2013, 09:19 AM
Apr 2013

Here's what he said when he was asked about that:
Would you stop the DEA's raids on Oregon medical marijuana growers?
Obama: "I would because I think our federal agents have better things to do, like catching criminals and preventing terrorism."
http://www.wweek.com/portland/article-9003-six_minutes_with_barack.html
This is what Eric Holder was doing on Thursday of this very week hearings about the horror of it all.

"But Rep. Andy Harris, a Maryland Republican, said that the president didn't take a position on the initiatives, and urged the Justice Department to do so.

"Your department could choose to attempt to overturn those laws," said Harris, a physician. That would send a message to America's youth that marijuana is not a safe drug, he added. "Kids need clear messages and I'm afraid we're not sending them one," he said.

Harris pressed Holder on when a decision might come, "because children are dying from drugs. It is a scourge ... can you give me a general idea of when that decision's going to be made?"

Holder would only say, "As quick as we can."
http://news.yahoo.com/holder-marijuanas-effect-children-factor-195708801--politics.html

When Obama spoke of law enforcement priorities, I did not think he meant this. Blood on the streets while Holder addresses pot laws.
Do you approve of that priority? I agree with Obama in 08. I think our federal agents have better things to do, like catching criminals and preventing terrorism. Got a problem with that? Was Obama wrong when he said they have better things to do? I'd say this week is a clear display of that fact.

34. He was a legal permanent resident?
Sat Apr 20, 2013, 09:16 AM
Apr 2013

Deportation of a legal permanent resident requires conviction on aggravated felony charges Per immigration rules, "aggravated felony" includes: "crimes of violence for which the term of imprisonment is at least one year". Tamerlan Tsarnaev was arrested on domestic assault and battery charges; the maximum term for the crime of assault and battery, under Massachusetts law, is 2.5 years in regular cases (increasing to 5 if the victim is pregnant). Tsarnaev was not convicted. (I can't tell if the case even went to trial.) A simple arrest without conviction isn't grounds for deportation.

"Section 237 of the Immigration and Nationality Act(INA) provides for the deportation(removal) of legal resident aliens who are convicted in a court of certain crimes. One of these crimes that is pursued vigorously and happens regularly is domestic violence."

"As long as a person hasn’t naturalized(become a US Citizen), that person can still be deported to their country of citizenship no matter how many years they have been residing legally in the United States."
