I do have to say that I am left wondering that if you are doing a door to door search I would have thought that they would have checked all of the tool sheds, and tarp coverings, and oh yeah covered boats.

I really thought this could be like the Atlanta Olympics bombing where it could take years.

It also makes me realize that much as some hate it, the fact that we have archived video surveillance can be the thing needed to learn how things happened. The key is to balance privacy needs and to use it for things of sufficient importance to justify any lost privacy of people.

Huge K&R to the first responders who put themselves in harm's way to protect and defend their fellow citizens. And, while we are giving much deserved kudos, I'd like to add my sincere condolences to the family of Sean Collier, the 26 year old MIT security officer who lost his life. You are in our thoughts and in our hearts. Sean will not be forgotten.

Don't bother looking for them in Congress, you'll be disappointed with much of what you see there, but the men and women involved in capturing this suspect did their jobs well.

And thank goodness they did!

Congress needs to take lessons from them--in fact, perhaps some of these people can just take over for the folks in Congress who don't want to do their job!

This wasn't a sporting event. There's no call whatsoever for the thundering herd mentality that took over.
I'm guessing 98% of those folks all puffed up and chanting "USA!" were probably home shitting their pants just a few hours prior.

And we wonder why so much of the rest of the world hate us? Gawd, we can be abhorrent sometimes.

People who put their lives on the line for 30 years shouldn't have lifetime retirement and medical benefits for their injuries, so say the Republithugs.

Remember that the next time a Republithug seeks office promising to cut taxes.
