We are the 99%. Saying that is a victorry for OWS. They have changed the conversation and put the focus on the income gap. For most rank and file Dems (and probably everyone who is not a TBer or RWer) we demand that our politicians address the 99% and not do the bidding for the 1%. The fight for that is no where near won, but the battle lines have shifted there thanks to OWS.

(45,274 posts)Yup. OWS has shifted the terms of the debate onto our playing field. Now, if the Dems won't insist on pushing the discussion back onto the deficit or something equally stupid, they have been handed November.
