Oh Joy!!!! Mitt Romney To Speak About Boston Bombing At 6pm ET

IGOR BOBIC 2:19 PM EDT, THURSDAY APRIL 18, 2013

Former Mass. governor and Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will appear on CNN's The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer at 6pm ET on Thursday to comment on the interfaith service held in honor of the victims of the Boston marathon attacks. Romney and his son, Tagg, sat in the fourth row as President Barack Obama delivered an address about the attacks earlier today.

They also invited the GOP senate candidates--one of whom will lose to future Senator Markey.

Mitt, one of the reasons he was only Governor for one term. I agree, interview Mike Dukakis. Better still, why not interview all of the former Governors that attended today's service; Bill Weld, Jane Swift (she who was eased out of the GOP primary Romney ran in) and Mike Dukakis?

Annie, instead. If that little turd off the old poop runs for dogcatcher, they'll pull that footage out.

He looked a little peeved to be seated with the "regular" DVs, and not with the Big Wigs.

Instead of running off to deal with Wolfie, why didn't he go to a hospital, like POTUS and FLOTUS did today? Answer: That carpetbagger never gave a shit about Massachusetts.

but the way these news organizations think is to get big names that have some sort of connection to the story. Romney was governor of Massachusetts not too long ago. If they had him on and he had not been governor of that state, then it would be bizarre.

and doesn't live in the area? (Romney has a home in Belmont, a suburban town close to Cambridge, maybe 15-20 minute drive from the bombing site; it used to be his main home; don't know if it still is.)

Honestly, Mitt Romney has as much right to be interviewed on TV as, say, ex-Mayor Flynn, who was on MSNBC today. Flynn hasn't been mayor for 20 years. At least Romney was the immediate predecessor to Deval Patrick.

I certainly won't watch it (but then, I haven't watched CNN for at least seven years). But I don't see why it's so surprising they'd want to get his reaction.

Seriously CNN. You're already being lampooned for your coverage of the bombings. I can't wait to see what the Daily Show does to you.

But now you want to inflict Mitt on your viewers???? Sure he's a former Mass. Governor so that at least gives him a shred of relevance - and I'm being very kind there. What happened? Would no one else come on your network given your lousy coverage of the events?

Remotes will be in hands clicking away at 6pm EST. At least 47% them anyway.

Do they even know how stupid they look?

CNN Apologized to Sarah Palin But Won’t Apologize for Getting Boston Suspect Story Wrong

The struggling network started off on the wrong foot with a report that a suspect had been identified in the Boston Marathon bombing. Instead of trying to slow down and verify, CNN compounded their error when former Bush Homeland Security Advisor turned CNN employee Fran Townsend reported that an arrest had been made. John King adding the cherry on top to this sundae of failure by reporting that the potential suspect was a, “dark skinned individual.”

CNN issued a formal apology for playing the song Stupid Girls before a segment about Palin, but they will not apologize for getting one of the biggest stories so far in 2013 completely wrong.

This is also the same network that refused to apologize for their pro-rapist coverage of the Steubenville verdict.
