but he was obviously knocked head over teakettle by the blast wave.

It's impressive footage. It reminds me very much of the Pepcon explosion in Las Vegas some years ago.

Pepcon blew out car and truck windows and dented them rather badly, but it didn't flatten them. This did.

ETA, found the full video, this guy is an IDIOT:

Same kind of explosion, though there's no film of it happening. (I'm going to have to wait until I get home tonight to see these YT videos, though.)

The Texas City explosion also took place in April.

That one dented cars but didn't squash them. This one squashed them.

It was 66 years and 1 day since the Texas City explosion.

Honestly, what's it gonna take for farmers to contract with factory meat farms and go back to using shit on the fields? Shit don't go boom.

...those are 60+ bodies that they've just been able to see. These numbers don't often go down. Very, very sad.

But considering that Waco is also a cause of the right wing nuts...It would not surprise me.

"Does anyone else see that? Right before the explosion, a bright flash streaks in from the left like a missile and then the explosion! What the hell was that?"

That's what you call a "conspiracy theory."

That aside, I'm going to be meeting with a few people in about a half-hour that were doing triage there. I fully expect a full-on "I've seen some shit, man." on their faces. One called my boss, he sounded alarmed and offered help. He got off the phone and told me what he heard. I said, "Fertilizer plant? I bet that was no small explosion."

Hearts and prayers out to that community.
