The only change I can see happening in Boston is that people will be a little more vigilant about duffel bags, backpacks and packages seemingly abandoned on the street, something most places that have had bombers are already doing.

I know that town too well to think the area of Boylston around the library will be closed once the cops and ATF have sifted through all the trash to find little bomb fragments.

. . . when it turns out to be an outbreak of wingnuttery.

Look for them to downplay something like that . . . 'not an international incident; just some homegrown, old-fashioned hatred, that's all.'

and Boston sure looks homegrown - we shall see.
Could have nothing to do with terror - could be a disillusioned college student (it's that time of year),someone calling attention to the people who have been losing their limbs and lives for the 1% in Iraq and Afghanistan, wing nuts vexed about Sandy Hook, gun control, a black President, taxes.

There are sooooooooooooo many possibilities

The people were terrorized, and the bombing had everything to do with an act of terror, regardless of who did it.

aftermath of the Boston bombings, I have been expecting TPTB
to give away more of our civil liberties because of panic they
seem to easily to side with after 'events'. After all, we're still
taking off our shoes at airports because of the feeble attempt
of the shoe bomber....and that's the least that we have lost. imho

Life is full of unforeseen dangers that can cut you down before your time. I'm not watching any media coverage of the event in Boston. I'm sure law enforcement is on the case and will find the culprit(s). In the meantime, I'm going to live my life the way I want to.
