They even have the brand name still on one of the pressure cookers. They have batteries that were made in China. They have found a small piece of circuit board. So, they are making progress, however slow some may think it is.
They can find out which stores sell that brand name of pressure cooker? They can find out if Radio Shack or someone else sells the Chinese brand of batteries, etc.
Some people may jump to the conclusion that the batteries were bought overseas but that may not be the case?
In my opinion, they are making good progress in finding this murderer or murderers.

(9,874 posts)I doubt the bomber would have bought them online or charged them on a card, so he probably bought them at the same time for cash.
So how many people would ever go out and buy TWO pressure cookers at the same time? A store clerk might remember that and even if he/she has no memory whatsoever of what the buyer looked like it would at least give investigators some idea of where the bomber was from.
on edit: Another way is to ask stores in the Boston area, very many of which keep computerized inventories whenever an item is sold, for records of pressure cooker sales in say, the last 3 months.

(9,874 posts)If he bought them at a chain like Macys, Lowes, Home Depot, etc., their computers could tell them exactly how many pressure cookers were sold down to the minute they were rung up at the register. I doubt that there were that many, considering they aren't exactly the most popular of kitchen appliances these days.
