McNaughton says, "It is not a partisan painting. I take no favoritism of Republicans or Democrats. Both parties are guilty."
Whatever.
Let's fix this picture.
All Republicans go to the right side where they belong. Republicans are proud to stand on the right. Although Republicans, at times eloquently, talk about the American Dream (the guy on the bench) their actions always support the oppressive oligarchy. Always.
1. Andrew Jackson, who actually killed a bankster central bank, bumps "honest" Abe clean over in front of Obama. Abe's foot lands square in the middle of the Constitution clearly showing how Obama merely follows in the footsteps of another Senator from Illinois.
2. John F Kennedy, who wounded the Federal Reserve by introduced silver certificates and winding down their Vietnam War before the central banksters assassinated him, bumps Saint "deficits don't matter" over to the right next to "honest" Abe.
There. The picture's already starting to look a whole lot more honest.

phasma ex machina
(2,328 posts)Obama hardly rates as a socialist after giving Joe Lieberman's Connecticut insurance company cartel carte blanche to write the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as they saw fit.
It ironically turns out that welfare queens (ie the wives of banksters) are actually part of the problem.

Stupid.

(6,145 posts)When Democrats think of the constitution being trampled we think of curtailment of rights but Republicans seem to think of expansion of government.
OK fair enough. The cartoonist involved here depicts this as the dollars being thrown around Obama's feet.
Unfortunately for this guy and his failed attempt at historical accuracy Reagan and Bush 2 grew government like nobody since FDR. Yet they are depicted as objectors. (I was a little unsure of how he was depicting Bush but you can see his own editing on a youtube video explaining it and his intentions are clear if you can stomach it
BTW this is the same guy who depicted Jesus on the national mall in an illustration which tried to echo the look of DaVinci's Sistine Chapel mural. Religious people in the public eye stood behind him and two groups of people in front showed the faithful and the sinful. The sinful, of course, were unwed mothers, liberal media members, teachers, activist judges, atheists and death lurking the background. EEEVIL.

(18,638 posts)I don't know if everyone else has seen this jackass's painting, but this is my first exposure.
I went to the website to see what the hell he was trying to prove, and found a series of insensed ramblings from a Tea Bagger smeared on canvass. Though he consistantly points out that he's not partisan (he's disappointed in both parties), he always places Sir Ronald in favorable light at Jesus's side. He mentions "facts" like how the Clinton years were made prosperous as an aftermath of Reagan policy, and how Obama is redistributing the wealth, but he's not partisan.
He uses the word liberal like a curse word and denounces democrats as generally unpatriotic, but he's not partisan. As for the lack of minorities like MLK in his portrayal of influential Americans, he says "The way people throw around the word racist these days is overkill", so that means he's not a racist either.
At last, "Dogs Playing Poker" has moved up several notches in the world of fine art.

(8,244 posts)I have to admit if this were reversed and showed favorable view of presidents I like, I would think this was an awesome painting.
As it is now though for some reason it seems to be shit. Can't find my way past politics to judge this as art.

(32,086 posts)Why aren't they on this joke of a painting, throwing $100 million at their GOP SuperPACs? In fact, I don't see any right-wing politicians at all, other than GeeDumbya and his ratbastard father. And, they're pointing to "the forgotten man", while FDR, JFK, and Clinton look a way? LOL! What a steaming pantload! At least he got the "Nixon looking away" part right. But, that's about it.
