14 year old shoots 6 year old cousin in doctor's office

As Andrew Bonci treated a patient at his Mission chiropractic office Tuesday, a “huge bang” echoed from his waiting room.

Rushing to see what happened, Bonci encountered a 6-year-old girl with a bullet hole in her lower leg and her 14-year-old cousin saying again and again, “I’m sorry.”

“I told him to give me the gun,” Bonci recounted hours after the incident in the 6000 block of Martway Street left the girl hospitalized and her cousin in police custody.

The boy complied and then ran from the office while Bonci’s secretary called 911.

“He was scared,” Bonci said. “He wasn’t crying, but he knew he had erred.”

Or are they being reported better because gun control is in the national spotlight? It seems like the former to me.

Although in the "wild west," in the town of Tombstone, their worst year, 5 were shot and killed.
That's all!

And in a lot of "wild west" towns, people coming into town had to give their guns to the sheriff.

THIS is the real impact of Sandy Hook. Congress is going to pass a law that is probably so watered down that it is worse than doing nothing at all. But Sandy Hook has fundamentally raise the cloak over what the gun people have been getting away with for a long time.

Maybe not this year. Maybe not next year. But this is all going to be changing. We cannot turn back now.

But a better one is - why did a 14 year old feel the need to carry a gun to the chiropractor's office?

Some stats say there is a downward trend in this kind of "accident " but stats are bought and sold like guns and ammo .

Why was the 14-year-old carrying a loaded gun at the chiropractor's office? The article provides no answer.

The chiropractor might have been arrested for asking if the child's family owned a gun.
