after they killed ACORN, celebrates its first annversary this month

Harry Belafonte's new film, "Sing My Song" is still opening all over the place.

Rustin Bayard's centennial is this month, too.

Lots to celebrate.

I teach a pre-K/Kindergarten class every Sunday at Ethical Culture. Last month I introduced Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to my kids. Tomorrow I'm progressing to Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth. And my kids are from all cultures and races.

My feeling is every month is Black History Month as there's a lesson in so many individuals that I'd like my kids to emulate.

He won an Emmy for "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie" for that. Ironic to see the bigots commenting at the link though. I suppose they know about his Civil Rights work?
