And this is a forest for the trees statement-My opinion.
I blame Republican ideology & most specifically the GWB Administration.
Whomever the terrorists turn out to be-Domestic or Foreign-They shared a hatred for America.
And this has been manufactured-maybe by unintended consequence-by tearing down the foundations of America that allowed everyone a reasonable slice of the American Dream.
The intentional shift of our manufacturing base -a decision made on a profit not outcome has driven millions into poverty & desperation.
The most sacred trust given America-the might of our Armed forces- was broken. Overtaxing our resources here in America but also insuring a never ending resource of enemies. Job security for the Military Industrial types & sweet pickins for corporations. As a bonus they get to scream to high heaven about America being broke & OMG we must like totally cut social programs...Win-Win in the dino brained Republicans....
And these policies & sooo many more-have led to a very sick America.
This is the fever deliriums of a gravely ill nation....
This to me is obvious...
To cure the patient we must diagnose correctly...
I blame Republicans...

(10,960 posts)Why do you need to blame someone RIGHT NOW without knowing much about the incident itself?

(16,113 posts)The facts aren't really important. Whoever did it, I'm sure one could come up with convoluted reasoning to explain why the repukes were REALLY to blame.
Perhaps Colonel Green of Mars was tired of Faux News being broadcast into outer space or he heard some repuke badmouthing "green jobs" and took it as a personal attack.

(19,497 posts)if they're foreigners they're entitled to hate America but if they're American they aren't.

(60,334 posts)And yes, the republicans and their policies of social cuts coupled with primitive wars very likely played a role in yesterday's violence and much of the violence we experience currently in this country.
