Last night as I was driving home listening to the reports of the bombing at the Boston Marathon, I had the following thought cross my mind -- how long will it take the RW media to somehow turn this into yet another "Obama is weak on terror!!!!" meme?
I gave it until this afternoon -- I was going to listen to Hannity (who lives to advance this kind of crap) and reward myself if my prediction that he would be all over that angle came true.
Well, this morning I was listening to "American's Morning News" on FOX radio (as I sometimes do) and they had this Boston Herald Columnist on who (in the usual way that FOX News lets "guests" speak the most vociferously while the "hosts" sit back as if they're all objective -- whatever) followed the Weak on Terror talking points to a T:
- The "guest" chuckled out loud and talked about how there "was at least no offensive pictures of Mohammed"
- The Administration is refusing to use the word "terror"
- The Administration is just "praying" that the bombing was done by "right wing extremists"
And on and on. Clearly this guy was trying to use the tragedy in Boston to dredge up the dead horse of Benghazi YET AGAIN.
I got so tired of this crap during the Benghazi dust up. When will the repubs give up this Bush-era mentality already? Do they really thing it still works?
Thoughts? Anyone as aggravated by this as I am? I know..... I should probably just stop listening to any FOX News radio show.

(75,480 posts)fact that they would capitalize on this tragedy for political reasons makes me wonder if the gates to Hell are located in their corporate headquarters. Anyone smelling the sulphur around 1211 Avenue of the Americas in NYC?

(31,706 posts)...hell it only took Alex Jones less than an hour to start floating reams of tinfoil and the blame game for political agendas are in full fury. The deal with a bombing is the ultimate answers involves heavy forensics work that hopefully turns up evidence and ultimately arrests. In the meantime the agendas flow...conspiracy theories flourish and anyone who wants to stir the shit can and will.
This is especially the case in the dying world of hate radio...it's a non-stop blame game and each venom spewer feels compelled to out wingnut their competition. It's an incubator of hate and poutrage...all amped up for the minimal ratings and massive egos of the person behind the mike.
While we have precious little information as to who or whom are responsible for this heinous act, those who need to score political points will take advantage of anything to do so...be it hate radio or DU...
