Making cuts to Social Security the national Democratic Party agenda is something to celebrate?

Last edited Mon Apr 15, 2013, 05:41 PM - Edit history (1)

Okay it is almost certainly not going to pass - Because the Republicans are going to block cuts to Social Security benefits in spite of the White House's proposal to cut Social Security benefits. But still now it is official - the Democratic Party led by the President supports cuts to Social Security and the Republicans in Congress are against cuts to Social Security benefits? Yeah, of course the story behind the fact that on the national level the Democratic Party led by the President supports cuts to Social Security and the Republicans opposes cuts to Social Security benefits get complicated. We all know that there is more to it that that. But it does not change the FACT that on the national level - the Democratic Party led by the President now supports cuts to Social Security benefits and the Republican Party lead by the House and Senate leadership opposes cuts to Social Security benefits. That is the simple reality whether you like it or not.

or are so far into CYA mode that almost everyone else laughs them out of their own threads. The blind faith crowd is getting desperate to change the narrative. And they hate on anyone that wonders why they didn't get a pony.

Yes it was one of the stupidest moves ever, hopefully you are right and the GOP refuses to go along with the proposal and forgets what happened and doesn't use it to their advantage.

The fact that the GOP can now claim to defend SS from the Dems is asinine, but will work on the low-information voters.

Is Obama not going to withdraw this proposal?

If he is, how long is it going to take before he realizes that it is not a good idea?
