Wow. Rape-flavored SPAM?

Since we're on the topic, again, thought I'd share a more or less horrific little piece of SPAM I just noticed in my junk folder. Not the usual Nigerian princes or UK lottery win notices this time.

How to make any woman want you…?

Scientists at Harvad University have discovered a strange secret
that allows you to control women's minds...

And make them want to sleep with you.

This free video shows you how the secret works:

LINK DELETED BY DG

Women worldwide are OUTRAGED because they trusted the
scientists to use their research for good...

But instead they have discovered the secret to making women
horney and attracted to you

Note: This is not your standard "aphrodisiac" claim. Women are "OUTRAGED" because you will "control their minds."

The SPAMMERS even included their address, in case you want to write for the video instead of following the link. Tried Google mapping, which doesn't work unless you remove a suffix at the end, at which point it comes back as being a Dallas, TX pizza joint. M'kay.

Not that I want to stir THAT exhausting pot again, but isn't this is the kind of excretia produced by what some call "rape culture?" Effective? Probably not. I nearly zapped it without a second thought. But is it indicative of an ugly current running through our cultural waters?

Could be.

I suspect it could be a tease to load up some kind of malware, which is why I killed the link. Brainwashing women into bed is apparently some kind of, as arley says, dumbass bait.

Try PUA + neuro linguistic programming, or maybe PUA + last minute resistance

I'm sure the men who consider themselves part of that group don't think there's any such thing as rape culture.

about hypnotizing women into bed?

I ... Okay, look. If you wanted to create something in order to make a slam -dunk, and frankly too spot-on, claim that rape culture exists in America, wouldn't it be this?

A guru infomercial / brain tech cult scam ... about *tricking women into bed* with ... wait for it ... The Power of your Mind.

Not funny. Not at all. But there is a hideous ridiculousness here, surely. This is an evil cartoon.

We are living in an evil cartoon.

If any of the BS actually worked, there would be no reason to lace women's drinks with drugs to knock them out so their inert and non consenting bodies could be masturbated into.

I agree it's a tease to install malware. That would be my first guess.

The idea that anyone would want to 'control' someone, and use that control to force them to have sex with them, yeah... not really confusing at all. That's rape.

Obviously not very bright people, but it wouldn't even occur to them to use it as a marketing tool if there weren't a rape culture. The assumption is that this bait would work.

who didn't want sex with them. I mean that goes for both genders. I know women sometimes think that every man wants to be in bed with them. All they have to do is give the signal. But it's not true and men are often unwillingly pursued by women they are not turned on to. It isn't just the guys who push themselves onto unwilling women. If you are so desperate to need to get someone drunk or drugged to get them to have sex with you, you are a pathetic loser.

And I know all dogs are adorable.

We have all kinds of mixed signals about men pursuing women to start with, but there is also darker background noise like this, about men "getting" a woman who is unwilling or has said no. That's not something anyone should want from anyone. But we don't treat as being as dark and bent as it really is.

There are a few orgs or people that may not be contacts, that I'd want to read. So I have a vague idea of what the Spam ecology is like. The fake lottery stuff. Virility pills. "Seeking your advice ... "

This stuff I hadn't noticed yet. Creepier than even the Russian 'bots that have the "harmonious body and the eyes of blue."

Gack.

I get SPAM ads for lots of stupid shit all the time. If the asses sending it out get 1 response in 100,000, it would surprise me. Not significant no matter what significance you want to imagine it has. But you run with your poutrage, if it make you feel better. Means squat to me.

I saw someone opining that there's no audience looking to "buy," but these things wouldn't have been around all this time if that were true.
