Carville: I Think Obama Likes Angering Liberals

Appearing on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Carville said he thinks Obama relishes the commendation he’s received from deficit hawks like New York Times columnist David Brooks and host Joe Scarborough. Asked by co-host Mike Barnicle how the President will respond to the outrage from the left-wing of the Democratic Party, Carville was blunt.

“I think he likes that,” Carville said. “I don’t think he’s upset. He got a very favorable Washington Post editorial. ‘Morning Joe,’ very favorable commentary right here. I guarantee you if he’s up watching this right now. Got a good David Brooks column. He’s kind of excited this morning. This is kind of important to him.”

Neo-Liberalism abandoned governmental Due Process requirements. It was a lawless era that destroyed public trust.

I'm certainly not looking forward to a repeat.

The millionaire/billionaire sunset crowd sits and pretend they understand normal people that have actual daily crisis like picking between 'gas in car' or 'lunch'.

This is why I turned off the M$M years ago...watching the plutocrats pretend is for those that like to be fooled or played for a fool.

like NASCAR and so should ALL snake charm salesmen. At least we would instantly know which groceries we would be boycotting or buying at the store and REALLY ain't that all that matters to them anyway? They destroyed our fun and got commercials pushed onto us on the Internets - - - what did we get back in return? Pron? Been there longer than ads.

Nothing, we get nothing from them but ashes and furious wind.

and he can pull out lines that make him sound like "Mr. Homespun" ...but, he and Begalla did some nasty campaign work in South America and elsewhere. And, they do it elsewhere. They are "Great Talking Spin artists. And, the best in the business. Carville is particularly good I think because he always gets a profound kernal of truth into his spin that resonates with Democrats. He suckered me in for the Clinton years. Wasn't until I woke up to all the De-Regulation Clinton achieved that I realized that you always have to watch what the one hand is doing behind the back rather than the hand that is waving at you to make their point.

I think Begalla is working with a Dem Group again. Maybe it's on an Obama initiative ....so I suspect they have a candidate in mind for 2016.

Because President Obama doesn't have a big ego, and knows the easiest way to ensure everything on his agenda is passed, is to have 16 or more years to do it.

His agenda needs to be continued and Hillary will continue it.

President Obama is never one to gloat or whine. He just does

I believe he will also be one of the 5 greatest US supreme court justices, and would finally be a suitable replacement for Thurgood Marshall, probably around 2018-19.

Then he can put a seal of approval on every single wonderful thing he has done, and will be done in the following 8 years.

I don't know any president who picked such a wonderful first term staff either.
It was a major stroke of understanding and genius to pick Hillary Clinton (his replacement as President in 2017 to 2025), to get past the problem past times have had.

That being a continuation of more than 2 terms is needed.
Rev. Martin Luther King would be proud of Barack Obama
Jerry Brown is Proud of Barack Obama
LBJ would be proud of Barack Obama
FDR would be proud of Barack Obama
Lincoln would be proud of Barack Obama
Ted Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Jack Kennedy would be proud of Barack Obama
Mike Dukakis would be proud of Barack Obama
Bella Abzug would be proud of Barack Obama
Tom Daschlie IS proud of Barack Obama
Caroline Kennedy is proud of Barack Obama
Rev. Jackson is proud of Barack Obama
Rev. Al Sharpton is proud of Barack Obama
Jackie Robinson would be proud of Barack Obama
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are proud of Barack Obama
Anybody who is anybody would be proud of Barack Obama

Personally, I am proud to live in a country and wake up every day to have Barack Obama as President.
Both sets of my late grandparents would be very, very ,very proud of Barack Obama
Nelson Mandela is proud of Barack Obama
Muhamad Ali is proud of Barack Obama

and Bill and Hillary Clinton and the others (who were able to achieve Bill's unbelievable upset in 1992 over Bush41, are proud and part of the same wanting to continue.

imho of course.

in conclusion
What makes Hillary look good, Makes Obama's agenda continue.
The agenda is what is important. The individual is just the vessel for the agenda.
President Obama being the #4 president already, is assured in 75 or 100 years of that monument where Lincoln, Washington, Jefferson, King, LBJ have one

What will be greater is that his agenda will still be going strong 100-200-300 years from now
Remembered as Lincoln is remembered as one of the greatest ever.

but, he's good at what he does and if he's working for Hillary he'd definitely use an insight about Obama for his own purpose. He might shade it a little...but, he wouldn't outright LIE like the Repug Campaign Operatives do. He's too smart a fox to outright lie. Carville probably has several "insiders" in the Obama White House Staff. He and Begalla are wired into the Dem Establishment. So...a little truth...shaded a bit for whoever their next candidate will be who will find them.

Sorry to be so cynical ....but, long time observing them in action during the Clinton years.

I give a fuck about making sure the President is an unhappy thwarted centrist until the day he moves left and abandons whatever "I'm the President for conservatives too" bullshit that has taken root between his ears. Any centrist or right-of-center proposal should be and seems to be DOA because he loses the left of his party and can't gain a single vote from the other side of the aisle.

Earth to Obama: The Democratic left are the ones you need to placate. David Brooks and Joe Scarsborough don't have votes in Congress and can't make Boehner's or McConnell's cronies support your crap ideas on the deficit, Social Security or the next "give away the farm" idiocy that falls out of your mouth. If Hillary's actually planning on running, she best learn that lesson too and start her transformation to a liberal hero.

warning.

As for the President wanting to get creds from Republicans by angering the left, we knew that already. And we don't care. Because this isn't about him getting creds from Republicans, James, it is about the lives of millions of Americans.

The good thing about the anger he has generated this time is that we now have no more reason to give him the benefit of the doubt. So thanks for yet another confirmation of what we were hoping was not true.

This frees the left now to move forward, unburdened by the need to 'wait and see' what he might do.

The job we have to do is monumental because of our mistake of 'waiting to see' when in our hearts we knew we were being scammed.

Now we have to start with the primaries in 2014. He has done one good thing, he has united the Left and motivated them like no one else could have.

It's gotta go way beyond just electing "More and Better Dems." In some states with the gerrymandering, redistricting there isn't going to be anything but another DINO Dem elected. There's a chance some change comearound the edges if there was an angry backlash against programs Repugs are pushing through in so many Blue/Purple states.. But how do we deal with Dem anger against Obama to motivate getting voters out.

We don't have anyone "waiting in the wings" as an emerging candidate yet. Some say Hillary, others say Elizabeth Warren. But, there must be someone else who is disgusted with both Dems and Repugs performance who has Principles, Character, Backbone and Charisma plus independent back of some kind that isn't tainted by Wall Street, Military Industrial Complex or Petersen/Koch/Heritage Foundation, etc.
