It's official: Jim Graves to challenge Bachmann in 2014

Jim Graves, the Democratic candidate who nearly toppled Republican Cangresswoman Michele Bachmann from her perch in Minnesota Congressional District 6 in 2012, has tossed his hat into the ring for a rematch.

E-mail from the Graves Campaign:

I'm in

Ed,

Jim's all in. Be one of the first to help him defeat Bachmann. Contribute now.

I’m in – I’m officially running against Rep. Michele Bachmann for Minnesota’s 6th congressional district.

In 2012, we built a grassroots campaign that shocked the political world. Despite all the odds, we came within just one point of defeating Rep. Bachmann – that’s 15 votes per voting district!

Last year’s lesson is clear: If we compete with her from day one, we’ll win. Voters have abandoned her. Republicans have abandoned her. This is ours.

Right now, will you join me in announcing that you, too, are ready for this fight? We need 250 supporters by midnight tomorrow to show Rep. Bachmann we’ve only become more determined. As little as $5 will make a big difference.

Click here to donate $5 or more to help me kick off this campaign to defeat Rep. Bachmann. We need to show Rep. Bachmann and her allies just how strong we are.

We really couldn’t have come closer last year. If we fight her attacks earlier, make more phone calls and knock on more doors, I know we can make that up. Another handful of votes in each neighborhood will put us over the top.

But I need your help to do it. Together, we learned a lot last year about what it takes to win. Just $5 from 250 supporters will help us start this race strong and deliver an even stronger statement to Rep. Bachmann that her Tea Party act is tired.

Rush $5 or more now to help me defeat Rep. Bachmann and return the 6th congressional district to what it was meant to be: a representative of its people, not Rep. Bachmann’s radical ideology.

It’s because of you that I’m running again. Thanks for your support.

Jim

Hell, he would have been victorious last time if only DCCC's Red to Blue had jumped in the game sooner. The sweet thought is knowing Bachmann knows it too.
