The President should be inviting Democrats, not Republicans, to dinner. He's starting to appear

out of touch with what we elected him to do. I'm so angry right now about this Chained-CPI nonsense, even if it never comes to a vote. He's trying so hard to be loved by the repubs, why I will never understand. They do nothing for him and they never will. It's a good thing he will not be running for another term, I do feel sorry for those coming up. I wonder how Hillary and others feel about his blunder of epic proportions. I'm leaving DU for a while, I'm no longer impressed with the Democratic Party. No fight in them. Just the same old day after day. There has to be something better.

He is weak and out of touch. The best we can hope for is that he does no more damage. bowens43 Apr 2013 #4

to shoot ourselves in the foot. Honestly I did what people asked me to do by calling all my representative and the white house. I feel like am talking to myself. People need to get out in the streets especially senior citizens who live in the area. Get out there and pound of the cars. Get our points across. What a shame. I so disappointed in Obama. I hope he is fooling us but somehow I don't think so.

Maybe they could be presenting a united front. They could be fanning out all over the country selling it to the public. Obama talks at people not with people. Town Halls, unscripted questions, doing what the people want.
