John Boehner: Obama Budget Deserves Some Credit For Entitlement Cuts

WASHINGTON -- House Speaker John Boehner says President Barack Obama deserves some credit for what Boehner calls incremental entitlement reforms in his budget proposal.

<...>

Boehner said the two sides should concentrate on what they can agree on and held out hope that in the coming weeks that Republicans and the White House could find common ground on ways on deficit reduction.

Elizabeth Warren 'Shocked' At White House Plan To Cut Social Security With Chained CPI

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) made it clear Wednesday in an email to supporters that not only would she oppose President Barack Obama's plan to cut Social Security benefits through a cost-of-living adjustment known as chained CPI, but that she was "shocked to hear" it was included in the White House's budget proposal at all.

Boeher says we should just focus on what the White House and Republicans agree on. The White House and the GOP agree on entitlement cuts so we will get those, but we likely won't get any revenue increases because the GOP opposes those.

That's how I'm reading it.

We see how well he kept that promise. What makes you think he'll keep this one?
