I Am Afraid Even Proposing The "Chained CPI' Is A Major Blunder And Suicide For Dems.

Obama by his actions makes it seem like he is willing to throw the 2014 elections to the GOP in which they will get their way in the end anyway. No matter how good his budget might be in other ways cuts to the safety net are like a huge blood stain on a perfectly white tuxedo. All you see is and are reminded of is the "blood stain".

For someone who is considered a good politician this move is a major blunder.

it offers other Democrats the chance to stand up and say they oppose this Republican gift basket. If they want to be elected again, that is exactly what they will do.
This WH has been really rude to many Democrats they will now need. They will regret the years of snark and hubris more than they know.

they're just trying to soften the blow to avoid a few bodies in the street. They will be there, anyway, just muted.

I am a donor and agree with the OP.

Maybe those without "stars upon thars" are those who are most impacted by the CCPI.
