Fascinating.

For the last 21 years I have relied on Social Security and Medicare. That reliance requires a certain degree of paying attention. And I've found that it's to my benefit to listen to both sides of the conversation, I learn more that way. When I find something of interest I often share it here.

After all this time, it still amazes when coming to a conversation without my hair on fire gets me castigated for trafficking in bovine excrement. Living as I do in cattle country I would, indeed, recognize the smell -- if the accusation were true, that is.

That said, and still having more to offer to the conversation but not being in the mood for getting further smacked, I offer this because I found it informative:

why do we need to mess with Social Security now?
It is not in trouble. There is a surplus. It is self funding not a part of the deficit or debt problem. The only thing needed to keep benefits at current levels is to raise the cap.
Why peddle that shit here time after time?
