guns because some exceptional people will find a way to defeat that regulation. Rachel was saying, just because Houdini could pick any lock, that still doesn't void the purpose of locks and handcuffs.

I think it went over most people's heads, but the footage that acocmpanies Rachel's monologue was compelling.

5. To the NRA, the only law is a gun. It's a kill cult for the post-civilization types.

They expect bad things to happen, and are prepared to speed things up if that doesn't happen fast enough. They also control the political process. Maybe, they're onto something.

The NRA is a gun sales lobby, everything they say and do is to prevent any interference with anyone (no matter how crazy or vicious) from buying a gun.

Even in war they run away from doing any killing themselves, just look at draft dodgers Wayne LaPierre and Ted Nugent.

It's money, pure and simple.
Gun makers want to be able to sell guns to anyone. Period.
